For weeks, our hearts have gone out to Haitian residents so this Valentine’s Day, let’s show our love of and support for those who are trying to piece their lives and homes back together after Haiti’s earthquake devastation. Sunday, The Gresham Metropole Hotel with GOAL is hosting Bid for Haiti, a live art auction.
From 11:00 a.m. On Sunday, 14 February, you may view the paintings, photographs, and sculptures up for auction at The Gresham Metropole Hotel on McCurtain Street in Cork City Centre. The live bidding commences at promptly 15:00 (or 3:00 p.m.).
According to details shared by GOAL, John D. Sullivan of J.D Sullivan & Co will be auctioneer and no reserve price is fixed for the auction items. Cash and cheques are acceptable forms of payment. Bidders can be content in the knowledge that the money raised will go towards relief efforts in Haiti. Donations are being accepted from artists and some are displayed in Bid for Haiti (Flickr).
Having dear family friends in Haiti, this effort warms my heart this Valentine’s Day.
