Tomorrow, Lance Armstrong will be riding through Cork as part of Tour of Ireland. He will be battling the city’s steep St. Patrick’s Hill and his determination was clear in a recent article. Of course, the hill will draw plenty of spectators, so I doubt we’ll be the only Americans keeping our fingers crossed that Mr. Armstrong (the other athletes too, of course) conquers the hill on all three laps of the third stage of the race. With the three-stage competition finishing in Cork City, there will be much excitement and energy!
For those of you wanting to see some action on St. Patrick’s Hill, plan to get over there between 13:30 and 14:30 on Sunday afternoon.
We are posting a scan of the Cork pages of the Tour of Ireland information booklet so you can find your best spot for cheering on the cyclists or avoiding the crowds, depending on your inclination.
