Mardyke Walk Skate Park

May 23, 2009 by Evin

Cork City has its very own oasis for skateboarders, rollerbladers, and bikers, The Mardyke Walk Skate Park! Well, it actually opened several weeks ago, but this is the first chance I’ve taken to post about it. It has already been tagged and seems to be a in good location. Not being a skater myself, I cannot address the structure or how it best serves the skateboarding, rollerblading, and BMXing community, but at least you know it exists and where to find it. And there are some videos being posted on YouTube too!

The Republic actually boasts many skate parks, click here for a map.

It is like on the end of Western Road, or the Mardyke Walk, on a big park. I moved to Cork 5 months ago, and going there tomorrow for the first time o/

Enough about me. What are you thinking?
