On Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork City Centre, Market Lane awaits your appetite. I went to dinner there this past September and found the food to be good with the restaurant itself offering an upscale feel without snobbery. It appears clean (dust in restaurants is an appetite turn-off for me), well-lighted, and offers two floors for dining. Charming decor. Some of the dishes can be a bit heavy in terms of creaminess, namely the mushroom ravioli, but at least that means it is filling. Excellent pasta with prawns. I didn’t think their chips were the best in City Centre, but their focus is beyond fried foods so I don’t think saying so will hurt their feelings (or custom).
Their website currently boasts two special lunch deals as well as a special early dinner offer. The information below is directly from their website. Keep in mind they only reserve tables for parties of six or more, but they have a bar to keep you company if a table isn’t available when you arrive.
