Paella, Sangria, Tapas, and Flan

The cuisine in Barcelona is a treat for my appetite. My weakness has always been appetizers, so tapas is a dream meal for me. Paella is part comfort food and part stick-to-your-ribs casserole. My mother has made flan, so being able to have it with nearly every meal this weekend has been like heaven. It slides down with its delicate sweetness. Ah, mmmm. I’ve not yet had sangria, but it is in store for dinner tonight. It is my birthday today, so reason to celebrate.
