Rainy Weekend

This weekend has reminded me of Winnie the Pooh’s blustery day. Windy enough to challenge even the strongest umbrella, rainy enough to soak your clothes without proper rain gear, and all-around icky enough to make you want to stay inside. The kind of weekend that makes it perfect to sidle up to a mug of hot cocoa so Mother Nature doesn’t know you’re standing her up and stay in for the day. Or if you want to brave the elements, go out to sit in a cafe and watch the weather go by. We ventured to a few spots downtown to do a wee bit of Christmas shopping, but mostly stayed out of the rain and enjoyed watching the tele.
