Fond Farewells

We enjoyed a festive and delicious going away party tonight with some of our friends. I was touched by the thoughtfulness of those who came [after a long work week]. We are so appreciative to have such wonderful and supportive friends. It struck us how lucky we are and how much it means to us to be able to be friends with kind people. One friend took it upon himself to plan the party (a hidden talent that is now exposed) and the jovial atmosphere made it an ideal send-off. I believe not seeing our friends so often will be the hardest adjustment to our life in Cork. That and not being able to get decent guacamolé.
