It’s almost that time of year again when you get to see people swimming in the Lee intentionally! Keep a look out on Saturday, July 18th at 3:00 p.m. It was fun to watch last year, even though we didn’t know it was happening until we looked down over the bridge railing.
The Ocean to City – An Rás Mór is a 15-mile rowing event, starting from the Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven in Co Cork and finishing up at City Quarter, Lapps Quay, Cork City. Racers can include canoes and kayaks! Today, they left Crosshaven and are currently rowing towards Cork City. We will be among the spectators awaiting their arriving at Lapps Quay. A street market is at Lapps Quay all weekend to celebrate the beautiful weather and unique event.

There are certain seasons that are perfect to be in certain places. October in Germany, April in Paris, and March in Ireland. Though there is a great deal of rain, there is also a lot of sunshine peeking through the clouds. I hear that April, May, and June are even better!
