The only things my husband asked me to bring back from my D.C. visit… Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and Old Bay Seasoning. Today, I went to Chevy Chase Supermarket in Chevy Chase, Maryland for those items. The market is family-owned and not as oversized and crowded as the chain stores, but it also has heart and supports The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. I came home with 14 boxes of mac & cheese (Scooby-Doo and regular elbow macaroni). My husband will love having some American comfort food and I love that it is lightweight as to not make my checked bags unbearably heavy. I am now the proud owner of a reusable Chevy Chase Supermarket tote, which will be used all the time given grocery stores in Cork City charge per plastic bag if you don’t bring your own bags to the store. A policy I am completely in favor of, by the way!
